HumanRank helps people choose AI tools for real work. Our guides compare chatbots, coding tools, writing tools, image and video generators and AI search tools on the facts that decide a purchase: limits, data settings, rights and documented weaknesses, as well as features.
Why we started
Most "best AI tool" lists rank products without showing their evidence, repeat vendor claims without dates, or present a single impressive output as a test. We wanted a publication where product facts come from cited sources and each page shows when its sources were checked, and where a score appears only after a real test has been published.
What we publish
At launch HumanRank publishes six category guides:
- AI chatbots
- AI coding tools
- AI writing tools
- AI image generators
- AI video generators
- AI search tools
Each guide gives a short dated answer, compares every tool on the same fields, cites vendor documentation and independent research, and ends with a test you can run yourself. More categories will follow as their sources are checked.
How a guide is made
Each guide starts with a list of the tools people most often consider for a job. We then read each vendor's help center, plan pages, terms and privacy documentation, and record every fact we intend to use with its source and the date we checked it. Facts that we cannot confirm on a primary page are left out rather than guessed. Where independent research bears on the choice, such as studies of AI search accuracy or of security flaws in generated code, we read the study itself and quote its own numbers and dates. Before publication, the highest-impact claims are re-opened on their sources a second time.
What we have and have not done
We have read and cited the vendors' own documentation, and independent studies where they exist. We have not yet run and published our own hands-on tests. Every guide says this in its method section, and every score column reads "Not tested". Our ranking method explains what a test must include before we publish a score.
Who is responsible
HumanRank is operated by Warrior Gyna Inc. Editorial responsibility sits with Dr Faisal Dartch. Warrior Gyna Inc also has commercial interests in AI writing products that compete with some tools we cover. Our disclosure page explains that conflict and the rules we follow because of it.

Corrections and contact
If a fact is wrong or out of date, contact us with the page and the source that shows the change. We correct the page and update its checked date.
